U.S. Department of the Treasury, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen), issued a federal reporting requirement for Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI).
As of 03/26/2025
- U.S. Companies: No longer required to report beneficial ownership info to FinCEN
- U.S. Individuals: Owners of U.S. companies are also exempt
- Foreign Companies: Still required to report; deadline extended to April 25, 2025
